Perimeter Protection
Fence Detection System
Intelligent sensors reliably detect attempts to climb or cut a fence, while ignoring distributed noise from wind, rain or vehicle traffic. By successfully distinguishing legitimate attacks from harmless environmental disturbances, nuisance alarms are prevented.
Software-controlled Free-format Zoning lets users assign alarm zones anywhere along the cable, reducing hardware requirements, lowering installed cost and assuring superior detection. Sensitivity Leveling™ calibrates the sensor to uniquely compensate for variations in fence fabric, resulting in uniform detection along the fence line.
• Advanced detection of cut / climb attacks
• Pinpoints intrusion attempts to 3 m (10ft)
• Sensitivity Levelling™ for uniform detection
• Point Impact Discrimination™ prevents nuisance alarms
• Flexible, software controlled zoning
Buried Cable Detection System
Cryptum designs and Installs field-proven buried cable intrusion detection system for applications where covert perimeter protection is essential. It is a volumetric, terrain-following sensor that reliably detects and precisely locates walking, running or crawling intruders along a facility’s perimeter. The Buried cable incorporates enhanced digital signal processing (DSP) for even higher detection performance in challenging site conditions.
With a coverage range of 400 meters (1312 ft) per processor, the system consists of a processor unit and two sensor cable pairs that may be buried along a facility’s perimeter in soil, asphalt or concrete. A detection field is created around the sensor cable pair, enabling the detection of intrusions.
This is the industry’s highest performing buried cable sensor, designed to fully adapt to its installed environment, setting new standards for performance by providing covert, terrain-following detection that is uniform along a site’s perimeter. It pinpoints the location of perimeter disturbances using a target’s spatial and time signatures to discriminate legitimate intrusions from harmless disturbances caused by small animals or environmental factors such as wind, rain or snow. The system’s high signal-to-noise ratio and precise target location produce superior probability of detection and a very low false/nuisance alarm rate (FAR/NAR).
With Buried Cable, detection zones are set in software, to cost-effectively tailor zoning to suit a site’s unique requirements.
• Convert, terrain-following RF detection
• Pinpoints intrusion attempts to 3 m (10ft)
• Sensitivity Levelling™ for uniform detection
• Prevents environmental nuisance alarms
• Flexible, software controlled zoning
Digital Microwave System
Microwave sensors, also known as Radar, RF or Doppler sensors, detect walking, running or crawling human targets in an outdoor environment. Cryptum Installs the industry’s first bi-static microwave sensors, Our partners have pioneered the development of flexible, reliable microwave links and transceivers for the protection of open areas, gates or entryways and rooftop or wall applications.
Microwave sensors generate an electromagnetic (RF) field between transmitter and receiver, creating an invisible volumetric detection zone. When an intruder enters the detection zone, changes to the field are registered and an alarm occurs.
Our microwave sensors are easy to install, provide high probability of detection, low nuisance alarms and resistance to rain, fog, wind, dust, falling snow and temperature extremes. Most operate at K-Band frequency, maximizing detection performance and minimizing interference from external radar sources.
• Range of 475 m (1500 ft)
• Fence lines, open areas, gates, entryways, rooftops, walls
• K-Band multipath detection
• Advanced digital signal processing for high Pd / low NAR
• Microwave path monitoring for signal changes
Fence Detection Sensor Systems
This is a more advanced fence system that consists of Plug-and-Deploy Fence Detection Sensor. Offering unprecedented ease of installation and deployment, it is a high-performance, standalone intrusion sensor designed to reliably and cost-effectively protect smaller critical infrastructure sites vulnerable to terror attack, sabotage, asset theft or liability risk.
Based on field-proven smart-sensor technology and designed to perform in harsh outdoor environments, system protects up to 200 linear meters of fence line. Engineered for quick, easy installation and programming, the system is driven by a sensor mounted to the fence or in a nearby control room, connected to a length of sensor cable tie-wrapped to the fence or topper to detect cut or climb attacks. Advanced shielding and surge protection make it ideal for lightning-prone sites or those with high electromagnetic or RF interference.
As a plug-and-deploy detection sensor, the system set-up process is simple. Our installer uses a laptop USB connection to configure and calibrate the system via user-friendly Installation Service Tool software. LEDs on the sensor identify power input, alarm status, fault notification and sensor disturbance, while isolated, on-board relay contacts provide intrusion monitoring and fault alarm indication.
The system incorporates the superior system intelligence that positions our full range of INTREPID fence detectors as leaders in their class, scaled to efficiently protect shorter perimeters like those surrounding cellular towers, water reservoirs, fuel storage tanks, electric switchyards or other small yet security-sensitive assets.
Like all of our fence detection systems, The System employs patented Point Impact Discrimination™ to precisely monitor activity along the sensor cable in 1.1 meter increments – or cells – enabling the system to analyze the characteristics of each disturbance and reliably detect cut or climb intrusion attempts while ignoring harmless environmental noise such as wind, rain or vehicle traffic.
• Designed to protect smaller critical infrastructure sites
• Sensitivity Leveling™ for uniform detection
• Point Impact Discrimination™ prevents nuisance alarms
• Installs on broad range of fence fabric
• EMI / RFI shielding and surge protection
• Monitoring via on-board, Form-C relay outputs
